Panga (transl. To mess with) is a 2020 Indian Hindi-language sports drama film directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and produced by Fox Star Studios. The film features Kangana Ranaut, Jassi Gill, Richa Chadda and Neena Gupta. The story depicts the jovial life of a kabaddi player.^[5]

Filming took place from November 2018 to July 2019 in Panaji, Bhopal, Delhi and Kolkata.^[6][7] The film was released in India on 24 January 2020.^[8][9]

Street Dancer 3D is a 2020 Indian Hindi-language dance film directed by Remo D' Souza. It is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Lizelle D'Souza under the banners T-Series and Remo D'Souza Entertainment. The film stars Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor, Prabhu Deva and Nora Fatehi. Its music is composed by Sachin–Jigar, Tanishk Bagchi, Badshah, and Guru Randhawa, and released under the banner T-Series. The story explores a dance competition between some Indian and Pakistani dancers.

Originally planned as a sequel to Disney's ABCD 2 (2015), the film was taken off the title due to Disney's exit from Indian film production, and was instead renamed to its current title after Bhushan Kumar took over as producer. Filming commenced in February 2019 in Punjab, later moved to London and was wrapped up in July 2019. It was theatrically released in India on 24 January 2020.

Pagalpanti (transl. Madness) is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language action comedy film directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under the banner of T-Series along with Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak under the banner of Panorama Studios.^[5] The film stars an ensemble cast of Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Ileana D'Cruz, Arshad Warsi, Urvashi Rautela, Pulkit Samrat, Kriti Kharbanda and Saurabh Shukla in the lead roles.^[6][7]

Principal photography of the film commenced on 17 February 2019 in London.^[8][9] [10] It was theatrically released in India on 22 November 2019.^[2][11] It received generally unfavorable reviews from critics who mainly criticized the writing.^[12]

Bala is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language social problem comedy film directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan. Ayushmann Khurrana stars as Bala, a young man living in Kanpur who is suffering from male pattern baldness, and the story is about his lack of confidence and societal pressure that comes with premature balding. Bhumi Pednekar, Yami Gautam, Javed Jaffrey, Saurabh Shukla, and Seema Pahwa feature in supporting roles.

Principal photography began on 6 May 2019 in Kanpur and the film was also shot in Mumbai and Lucknow.^[6] The soundtrack was composed by Sachin–Jigar; the film released in preview shows on 7 November 2019 and Indian theatres on the following day.^[1] Made on a total budget of ₹270 million (US$3.8 million),^[2] Bala received generally positive reviews from critics, and it grossed ₹1.72 billion (US$24 million) worldwide.

Mission Mangal (transl. Mission Mars) is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language drama film directed by Jagan Shakti and jointly produced by Cape of Good Films, Hope Productions, Fox Star Studios, Aruna Bhatia, and Anil Naidu. The film stars an ensemble cast of Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Menen, Kirti Kulhari, Sharman Joshi, H. G. Dattatreya, Vikram Gokhale, and Sonakshi Sinha. The film is loosely based on the life of scientists at the Indian Space Research Organisation who contributed to the Mars Orbiter Mission, India's first interplanetary expedition.

Mission Mangal was announced in November 2018. Shakti, who worked as associate director on Pad Man (2018), pitched the script to Kumar. Principal photography for the film began in November 2018. The film's soundtrack was composed by Amit Trivedi and Tanishk Bagchi with lyrics written by Baghchi along with Amitabh Bhattacharya, and released under the banner Zee Music Company. Mission Mangal was theatrically released in India on 15 August 2019, India's Independence Day. It received positive reviews from critics and earned ₹290.02 crore worldwide, becoming a commercial success.

                                                       

Tanhaji The Unsung Warrior

Chhapaak (transl. Splash) is a 2020 Indian Hindi-language drama film directed by Meghna Gulzar and produced by her as well as Deepika Padukone in collaboration with Fox Star Studios. Based on the life of Laxmi Agarwal, it stars Padukone as an acid attack survivor, alongside Vikrant Massey.^[4]

The film was announced on 24 December 2018 by Padukone on her Twitter account; it marks her first production venture. Filming took place from March to June 2019 in New Delhi and Mumbai.^[5] Days before the film's release, Padukone visited students who were brutalised during the 2020 JNU Attack, a political act, which led to a divided response on Twitter. A few right-wing magazines later wrongly reported that the religion of the acid thrower in the film was changed from a Muslim into a Hindu character. The film was theatrically released on 10 January 2020.^[6] It received positive reviews from critics.^[7]

Commando 3 is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Aditya Datt and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, Reliance Entertainment and Motion Picture Capital.^[3][4] The third installment of the Commando franchise, the film features Vidyut Jammwal, Adah Sharma, and Angira Dhar in lead roles, with Gulshan Devaiah portraying the antagonist.^{[5][6][7][8][9]} Jammwal reprises his role as the commando Karan, who goes undercover with encounter specialist Bhavana Reddy for an anti-terrorist mission in London.

Principal photography for the film began in September 2018 in Bradford and York City in England. The film was theatrically released in India on 29 November 2019.^[10][11] A commercial success, it became the highest grossing film in the Commando franchise

Marjaavaan (transl. I will die) is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language romantic action film directed by Milap Zaveri and starring Riteish Deshmukh, Sidharth Malhotra, Tara Sutaria and Rakul Preet Singh.^{[3][4][5][6][7]} The co-producer Bhushan Kumar described the film as “a violent, dramatic love story".^[8] After the release date was changed three times, the film was theatrically released in India on 15 November 2019.^[9][10]

Good Newwz is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language comedy film directed by Raj Mehta in his directorial debut and produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Hiroo Yash Johar, Shashank Khaitan, Aruna Bhatia, and Akshay Kumar under their respective banners Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Films.^[4] Starring Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kiara Advani in the lead roles, the film revolves around two couples tryst with in vitro fertilisation.^[5]

Principal photography commenced in November 2018 and was completed in April 2019. It was theatrically released in India on 27 December 2019.^[1]

Housefull 4 is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language comedy film directed by Farhad Samji and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. The film is the fourth installment of Housefull franchise,^[4][5] and stars an ensemble cast of Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde and Kriti Kharbanda.

The film was half directed by Sajid Khan, who had also directed the first two installments, but was replaced by Farhad Samji midway during the shooting, due to Me Too allegations.^[6][7] Nadiadwala claimed the film to be the highest budgeted Indian comedy film.^[8][9][10] The story is based on reincarnation, spanning a period of 600 years from 1419 to 2019. The film was theatrically released in India on 25 October 2019 during the occasion of Diwali became a box-office success.^[11][12]
